Privacy policy

Who we are

Pin High is a private fantasy golf pool. It is operated by Dusty Ware. The app and the website are the same service. Contact dusty@ftcottumwa.com.

Information we collect

We collect only what the pool needs. We do not ask for your contacts, photos, location, or payment card.

• Account. Your name, email address, and password. The password is stored as a hash. We do not keep the password you typed.
• League. Your team name, the invitation passcode you used, the golfers you pick, and the messages you post on the league board.
• Paid status. The commissioner can mark whether your $100 entry has been paid. That is a yes or no on your membership. The app does not collect card numbers, bank accounts, or process the payment.
• Sign-in cookie. A session cookie keeps you signed in. It holds your account id, email, and name.
• Server logs. The host may record your IP address, browser or device type, and the time of a request in ordinary server logs.

How we use it

• To create your account and let you sign in.
• To run the league: picks, locks, standings, the prize pool, and the commissioner desk.
• To show your name, team, picks, and board posts to the other people in your league.
• To email league members when someone posts on the board, once email delivery is turned on.
• To keep the service secure and fix problems.

We do not sell your information. We do not use it for advertising. We do not track you across other companies' apps or websites. We do not use advertising identifiers.

Who can see it

• Other members of your league can see your name, team name, picks, scores, and board posts.
• The commissioner can also see your email address and whether your entry is marked paid.
• Fly.io hosts the app and may process server logs, including IP address, to run and protect the service.
• If board email is turned on, the email provider delivers those notices to the addresses in the league. The message is the post you wrote.
• Scores come from public PGA Tour data. We do not send your name, email, or picks to the PGA Tour.

How long we keep it

We keep account and league information while your account exists and the season is on the books. Server logs are kept only as long as the host keeps them for security. If you ask us to delete your account, we delete or anonymize the personal information tied to it, except where we have to keep a record of the season standings.

Your choices

You can review your team and picks in the app. You can ask us to correct your name or email, or to delete your account, by emailing dusty@ftcottumwa.com. The commissioner can also remove your entry from the league. Deleting an entry removes your picks from that league.

If you live in a place that gives you extra access, correction, or deletion rights, email the same address and we will respond.

Children

Pin High is not for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a child under 13. If you believe a child has created an account, email us and we will delete it.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS. Passwords are hashed. No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
